Billing & Plans

StitchGraph offers free and paid plans for both personal accounts and organizations. This guide explains what each plan includes, how trials work, and where to manage your subscription.

Plans Overview

StitchGraph has two separate billing systems:

Personal billing — covers your own maps and features. Managed from your Preferences page.
Organization billing — covers maps and features for everyone in the org. Managed by org Owners and Admins from the org settings billing page.

Personal Plans

Every StitchGraph account starts on the Free plan:

Tip: New users can try AI features (AI Chat, AI Generate, and AI Expand) on their very first map — no subscription required.

Organization Plans

Organizations have their own plan tiers, separate from personal billing. Organization plans cover all maps created within the org.

All paid organization plans are also available with annual billing, which saves approximately 17%. See the Pricing page for exact annual pricing.

Note: Only org Owners and Admins can manage organization billing. Regular members cannot view or change the org plan. See the Organizations guide for role details.

Free Trials

Both personal and organization plans offer a 14-day free trial of paid features. Each account and each organization can start one trial.

Starting a personal trial:

Go to Preferences and click Start Free Trial in the Subscription section.
Or visit the Pricing page and click Start 14-Day Free Trial on the Premium plan.

Starting an organization trial:

As an org Owner or Admin, go to your organization's billing settings page and start a trial from there.

While a trial is active, a Trial badge appears next to your plan name showing the number of days remaining. When the trial ends, your subscription becomes active and billing begins — unless you cancel before the trial period is over.

Managing Your Subscription

Subscriptions are managed through the Stripe billing portal. The portal is hosted by Stripe and lets you manage your subscription and payment details.

Personal subscription:

Go to Preferences → Subscription section → click Manage Subscription. This redirects you to the Stripe billing portal.

Organization subscription:

As an org Owner or Admin, go to your organization's billing settings page and click Manage Billing. This opens the Stripe billing portal for the organization.

After checkout:

When you complete a checkout from the Preferences page or an organization billing page, you'll see a confirmation banner:

"Your subscription is active!" — your purchase or change was successful.
"Checkout was canceled" — you exited checkout without completing the purchase. No charge was made.

Warning: If you see a "Payment issue" banner, click Update Payment Method on your Preferences page to resolve the issue through the Stripe billing portal.

If you cancel your subscription, a Cancels [date] badge shows when your access ends. You keep full access until the end of the current billing period.

Please include your account email and a description of the issue. For organization billing, also include the organization name.
